Phuket auction plates: how to buy one
You can choose a Phuket number without going to an auction. There is one important thing to check first: where your car is registered.

What is a Phuket auction plate?
Auction plates are special numbers that the Department of Land Transport (DLT) sells at auction. The money goes to the Road Safety Fund. Each province has its own picture design, so Phuket plates look different from those of any other province.
Each number in each letter series exists only once. Once someone holds it, others can only get it if the holder transfers the rights.
Can a car registered elsewhere use a Phuket plate?
The plate has to match the province where the car is registered.
- Car already registered in Phuket: the plate can be swapped directly. This is the easiest case.
- Car registered in another province: the car must first be moved to Phuket registration. The documents depend on your case.
- Car under finance: you need a letter of consent from the finance company first.
The safest way is to send us a photo of the first page of your car registration book before you pay. We will tell you what you need to prepare.
How to buy a Phuket plate from us

- Your car is registered in Phuket. If not, plan the move first.
- Your car is under finance or not. If it is, allow time for the consent letter.
